Will it work on my phone?

You shouldn't have to know what your phone is called to answer this. We'll work it out from the phone you're holding.

The usual questions

Which phones can use a Fiver eSIM?

Any phone that can download an eSIM. That's every iPhone from the XR and XS onwards, and most Android phones sold from around 2020 — including the Samsung Galaxy S21 and later, Google Pixel 3 and later, and the Samsung foldables.

How do I tell whether my phone supports eSIM?

Open Settings and search for “eSIM”. If you see “Add eSIM” or “Download a SIM”, your phone supports it. That menu is the whole test.

Do I have to take my normal SIM out?

No. Fiver is downloaded onto your phone as a second line, so your existing SIM stays exactly where it is and your number doesn't change.

Does my phone need to be unlocked?

Yes. Phones bought outright, or on a contract that has finished, are almost always unlocked already. If yours is still tied to a network, they'll unlock it free on request.
